Printanista Device Monitoring Issue

Written by ASL | Oct 8, 2026, 8:26:07 AM

Important Information: Printanista Device Monitoring Issue

We are currently aware of an issue affecting some ASL customers who use Printanista for device monitoring.
Printanista uses a small piece of software called the ECI Data Collection Agent (ECI DCA), which is installed within the customer's IT environment and allows device information to be securely communicated to ASL.
Following a recent software update, the ECI DCA may have stopped reporting, meaning ASL may no longer be receiving information from some of your devices.
This may affect our ability to automatically collect meter readings, monitor toner levels and arrange proactive toner replenishment.

How to resolve the issue

In most cases, the issue can be resolved by updating the ECI DCA software installed on your computer or server.

To complete the update:

  • Locate the computer or server where the ECI DCA software is installed.
  • Download the latest installer using the link below.
  • Run the installer and follow the on-screen instructions to update the software.

Download ECI DCA Update

Once the update has been completed, the software should resume communicating with ASL's monitoring systems.

Important: This update is intended only to repair an existing ECI DCA installation that has stopped reporting. It should not be used for new installations. If you need to install the ECI DCA for the first time, please contact us at the email address below for assistance.
