Commencing our commitment to the environment, we’ve established an ESG Steering Group and achieved accreditation for our Environmental Management System (ISO 14001). Additionally, we’ve enriched our surroundings by planting wildflowers at our Head Office and introduced Cardboard and Polystyrene Compactors to minimise landfill waste. We have also removed bins from individual employees’ desks and introduced separate general waste and recycling bins throughout our offices.

Leading in sustainable transportation, we’ve shifted over 84% of company vehicles to hybrid or electric, with 100% of our field technicians’ vehicles being hybrid. Our Head Office now features 10 PodPoint EV charging stations, and we actively encourage carpooling among company car drivers. To cut our carbon footprint, we encourage public transport use, such as bus and train with close proximity to the Ely train station. We also encourage walk and/or cycle to work.

In our sustainable practices, we use DocuSign to reduce client visits, implemented LED Lighting in Ely, and adopted technology for energy efficiency. We also promote increased work-from-home flexibility, with use of online tools such as Teams and SharePoint.

In our ongoing commitment to responsible practices, we provide a toner recycling scheme for our customers. Our dedication extends to the PrintReleaf reforestation program and a determined effort to minimise packing materials for customer supplies. We also email the majority of our invoices to customers to reduce posting.

Recertified devices
ASL put used machines through an extensive 12-stage process to remanufacture the devices for future use.

Staff
ASL offer staff the ability to work from home where possible to help reduce our carbon footprint. We also offer overnight stays for training & meetings to reduce commuting.

Reforestation
ASL have partnered with PrintReleaf, automatically converting paper footprint into actual trees.

Polystyrene and Cardboard Compactor
We take matters into our own hands with our compactors, where all polystyrene and cardboard is repurposed.

Hybrid & electric Vehicles

Embracing sustainability in our service delivery, our Help Desk is committed to resolving tickets remotely, thereby minimising the need for on-site engineer visits and significantly reducing our carbon footprint.

Sustainable Products & Processes

Promoting sustainability, we refurbish end-of-lease products to reduce raw material use and emissions. Complying with the WEEE Directive ensures proper recycling, and through the PrintReleaf Platinum Partnership, we convert both our own and our customers’ paper footprint into trees.

We offer multi-vendor, impartial consultancy to provide independent guidance, and conduct audits aimed at rationalising printer fleets and reducing printed pages.

Recycling Initiatives
Through our toner recycling scheme, we actively reduce waste and energy consumption, ensuring that materials are repurposed responsibly. Furthermore, we uphold a remarkable 98% recycling rate for packaging materials, including the collection of packaging from installed equipment.

Our EPA is designed to provide customers with an analysis of their print infrastructure, focusing on environmental impacts alongside technological advancements. By examining factors such as power usage, consumable item consumption, and overall carbon footprint, we enable our customers to make informed decisions that align with their sustainability goals.
