Cambridge based print management company, Automated Systems Group Ltd (ASL) is lending its support to their chosen charity, East Anglian Children’s Hospices, with donations of new printing hardware and a variety of fundraising activities over the coming year.

ASL donated a new Kyocera printer and also a fax machine to EACH’s Treehouse hospice in Suffolk and organised a 1200 mile sponsored cycle ride, corporate golf day and ASL volunteers will be amongst the ground at Peterborough United matches this season with collection buckets to raise money on behalf of EACH.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) supports families and cares for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambridgeshire, Essex, Norfolk and Suffolk.

EACH’s care and support is tailored for the needs of all family members and delivered where the families wish – in their own home, at hospital, in the community or at one of three hospices in East Anglia. The Treehouse Hospice in Ipswich will directly benefit from ASL’s donations and support as the charity relies on voluntary donations for the majority of its income and needs to raise almost £6 million to deliver their services per year.

Beccy Gillings, Cambridgeshire Fundraising Manager, said: “We are thrilled that ASL have chosen to support East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) as their charity of the year. At EACH we rely on public donations for the majority of our funding so to have the support of a local business like ASL is great for us. The recent donations of a new printer and fax machine to our Treehouse hospice in Ipswich were very generous and they are already making a big difference at the Treehouse hospice. We are looking forward to working with ASL over the coming months to help raise funds and awareness for EACH.”

Brian Borley, National Service Manager at ASL said “We chose EACH to be our charity of the year due to the fantastic work they do around the region. ASL’s donation of the printer and fax machine will help them save money on administration costs and help them in their day to day communications. The ASL staff is looking forward to getting stuck into the fundraising events, our first event inspired by one of our team members’ forthcoming marriage in Slovakia. We’ll be running a sponsored static cycle ride in the office the equivalent distance to raise money for EACH”
