The main focus of the role is to provide high-quality HR administration and assistance whilst delivering efficient, effective, employee-focused, HR guidance and support. Supporting the HR Manager in daily HR operations and improving employee experience and engagement.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

HR:

  • Administer all aspects of HR such as employee records, absence, performance management, employment references.
  • Support and administer the recruitment process across the organisation.
  • Produce and send starter packs for new employees which include offer letters, job descriptions and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Assist and administer the induction, training and performance management processes using on-line tools.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, systems and related date.
  • Ensure HR records are up to date and comply with current legislation such as right to work, driving licence, DBS, GDPR.
  • Produce reports, statistics and data relating to HR.
  • Assist with payroll related HR data for the organisation.
  • Support the Learning & Development within the business.
  • Assist with compliance of Health & Safety policies and processes.
  • Provide colleagues, Managers and stakeholders with HR guidance and support.
  • Encourage and support a positive employee HR and L&D experience.

Office:

  • Greet visitors and provide hospitality for meetings.
  • Provide administrative support to the Company, including scheduling meetings, hotels, and coordinating logistics for events.
  • Book, coordinate and organise events such as companywide, departmental, charity and social events.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail.
  • Ensure communal areas are maintained and are clean, clear and tidy with routine tasks undertaken such as kitchen stock, plant maintenance, housekeeping etc.
  • Kitchen, stationery and office stock are checked regularly and refilled when needed.
  • Liaise with other offices to ensure they have stock.
  • Organising trades personnel to attend the offices for routine inspections or repairs.
  • Support the Fleet Manager with vehicle returns, administration and filing.

 

KEY MEASUREMENTS

  • Development of online tools to support HR processes
  • Reports and data for sharing of HR information
  • Maintaining accurate HR records and reports

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Able to apply discretion and work with confidential information
  • Minimum one year HR experience
  • Ability to prioritise workload and use own initiative.
  • Full drivers licence and car as may be required to travel around Ely or attend meetings in Cambridgeshire.
