With the exact future unknown, it is imperative that we continue to action our business continuity plan to ensure that we continue to make work flow. ASL provide communication services to over 7,000 businesses across the UK and we have been working hard to ensure that when needed we are available to support and adapt.
It is imperative that we prioritise the safety and wellbeing of all our employees and the hundreds of thousands of people employed by our customers. Whilst maintaining our operations through our staff working either from home or, where needed, in our sites, we have ensured that safe distancing is in place, all our staff are provided with the necessary PPE and any potential risk to health is minimised.
We have revised our processes to ensure that communication is maintained both internally and externally and ensured that all staff who need it have access to Teams to provide seamless collaboration. ASL are one of the largest managed office service suppliers in the UK and as such we have an excellent relationship with all the key manufacturers. We have priority access to stock and spare parts enabling us to continue to provide excellent service levels to you where and when you need it.
Our service centre in Cannock is still available to take your service calls and are increasingly able to provide a remote fix to your problems, thereby protecting all employees from unnecessary contact. If the problem cannot be rectified remotely, ASL have engineers covering all our areas. All ASL customer facing staff are supplied with PPE
The majority of ASL staff are working from home but with the installation of excellent Unified Communications product and services, there is no change in the level of service you should expect.
ASL are conscious that the change in working conditions and the current situation may be causing heightened levels of stress and impact on the mental health of employees. We are aware of this and are implementing policies and helpful resources to minimise this effect on employees.
Where there is a need for employees to be present at one of our locations a deep clean has been made and all the necessary on-going hygiene and safety regulations are being adhered to. No travel between sites is being allowed to minimise unnecessary traffic.
Our senior management team and board review the situation every week via Teams and adapt our business accordingly as the situation develops.
